GIPPSLAND UMPIRES ASSOCIATION
2014
PRESENTATION EVENING
2014 IN REVIEW
After a month of pre-season games, nineteen weeks of the home and away season, and five weeks of finals, the 2014 season has come to an end.
This year has had a number of highlights including:
A significant growth in membership growth resulting from another very successful recruiting program,
A successful growth in Monday and Thursday night training
A continuation of the good relationship with both the Ellinbank and District Football League and the Gippsland League.
Development of new partnership with the WDJFL
A record 46 Green Shirt Program participants.
9 new Mentor Program Participants
Ongoing GUA involvement in the V-Line Umpiring Academy
Exchange matches with Ballarat Umpire Associations
Continual selection of GUA umpires for the TAC Cup
A healthy sponsorship arrangement with Viatek, Bendigo Bank, Crowe Horwath , Speedy Locksmiths & Buffalo Sports
Josh Hickman nomination to VFL trials
To continue the momentum generated this year and ensure the future of the Association, we must get the best possible people in the key jobs in 2014. This will begin with the election of office bearers for next year at the upcoming Annual General Meeting, so it is essential that (1) members make the effort to attend, and (2) that the right people are encouraged to nominate for Committee of Management positions.
Sincere thanks to our 2014 corporate supporters:
